Kuljetus- ja Nosto Niskanen Oy
Kuljetus ja Nosto Niskanen Oy specializes in lifting operations using loader cranes across the Lapland region and, when needed, throughout Finland
Lifting operations growing steadily since 2016
We have been carrying out lifting operations at a growing pace since 2016, when we invested in our first larger scale loader crane, a Fassi 110 tm. Since then, our company has continued to invest in lifting equipment based on customer needs and requests, and by 2023 our fleet includes a total of 10 crane trucks.
The growth has been rapid, but by working with both long term and new customers, everything has progressed steadily without compromising safety or employee wellbeing. Kuljetus ja Nosto Niskanen Oy has also recruited new staff, and today we have approximately 15 employees.
Our company’s principle is to respond to our customers’ needs in both lifting services and transport services.

We are committed to monitoring and ensuring the occupational health and safety of our employees. View the certificate.
Operations are expanding
In February 2023, our first long distance dispatcher started, followed by a second in mid May. Today, we serve customers across the entire country with our nationwide flatbed fleet, from Utsjoki to Hanko.
We have also started maintenance services for construction machinery and agricultural equipment in the Lapland region this year. We either carry out repairs on site or transport the broken machine to our workshop in Tornio, where our skilled technicians repair it and deliver it back to the customer, all from one provider.

Strategy
When we acquired our first larger crane truck in 2016, our company’s strategy was to primarily serve small and medium sized businesses.
By 2023, the situation has developed so that with our current crane fleet, we can now reliably serve industrial needs comprehensively on a 24/7 basis. A key example of this is the procurement agreement signed in spring 2023 with Caverion Suomi Oy and Caverion Industria Oy.
The procurement agreement also covers Sweden.
History
Kuljetus ja Nosto Niskanen Oy was founded in 1991 under the name T ja P Niskanen Ky. At that time, we operated with a single vehicle transporting milk.
In the early 2000s, milk transport ended and we introduced our first freight truck equipped with a rear mounted crane. With this, we carried out our first roof truss lifting jobs.
In 2009, we invested in our first loader crane, a 26 tm Palfinger with a jib. After that, we carried out lifting operations in Tornio and worked across Northern Finland and Sweden together with our partners.
In 2016, our first larger crane truck was acquired from Denmark.
In 2019, a generational change took place, and operational responsibility was officially transferred to Samuli and Simo Niskanen. Today, we employ a growing number of people, with approximately 15 employees and around 20 subcontractors.
